Actietraining

The first training is an action training: This focusses mainly on disruptive actions, also known as civil disobedience. Another term you will hear is NVDA. Non Violent Direct Action. That is a bit double, since civil disobedience is by definition non violent.

During the training you will learn:
- How to prepare for an action.
- What non violence entails.
- How a simple blockade, accupation or bannerdrop works
- How you take care of fysical and mental wellbeing.
- What the use is of an affinity group or a buddy
- How the proces of an arrest goes.
- How to deal with police presence.
- What are the legal consequences of the things you do or consider.

Legal training

The second training is a Legal Training. Where the action training goes broad, the legal training goes deep. De common police officer in the street does often not know there is a grey area. They just do what they allowed or what they are told. And even if they are willing to see it broader, then still there are things that are good to know before you go into an action.

For example, Algemene Plaatselijke Verordening (APV. Englisch: the General Local Regulations) states that a demonstration has to be announced (to the municipality). And in itself the rule does apply. However, a demontration can never be dismantled on the fact that announcement is not done. The reason is that the APV is regulation, but not a formal law. En the right to protest can only be restricted by a formal law. Our right to protest is not only regulated in national law, like WOM (Wet Openbare Manifestatie. Translation Law on Public Events) and the constitution. Right to protest is also regulated on European level. And European law supercedes national laws of the member states.

Especially now the Tweede Kamer (House of Commons) want to reduce the right to protest. It is good to know that they canot really do that. Demonstration law is besides constitutional also arranged on European level. During the legal trainng you learn do dive deeper into questions about your rights and also why the government must make an active effort to facilitate that right. The knowledge in this training is not nessecarily ment to win a debate. Mostly the knowledge in this course is mend for you to weigh for yourself how for you can and want to go during a demonstration.

Training for action organisers.

De above mentioned action training is for everyone. But as an organiser you need just that little bit extra. During the actiontraining for organisers you learn among others which support roles you need for an action. Think for example about
- police liason,
- wellbeing,
- first aid,
- de-escalation.

also other factors will be addressed like
- press message
- Backoffice
- Rst support
- Infra And of course a lot more that may be to much to mention now.

Police Liaison training

One of the support roles during an action is that of Police Liaison. De Police Liaison is the spokesperson with municipality and police before and during an action. During this course you learn what you need to know and also how you use that in practice.

Infra practice session

How do I use acion material and in a safe way= How do I, for example, climb into a tripod and hoe does a lockon work.

Infra making session
